spring break is coming up for shortly from March 25th to March 30th the 8th grade zoo trip is happening tomorrow Middle School basketball season is coming to closed so both our boys and girls teams have just a couple games left before playoffs for the boys I don't know if our girls made the playoffs this year the Middle School soccer season is starting soon the tryouts are happening this week and then just a couple quick reminders it's good for our families and Leadership to know that we are sitting more gum on campus and so we're asking parents to to make sure that their students are not bringing them to school we know some of our students are self-conscious about their breath and we encourage students to utilize mints for that and continuing to promote by having students on campus every day when students on campus every day really improves our ability to continue growing academically and lastly we always you always cheer on more reading at home so students should be reading at home and we encourage families to stay since the library to help him find books that are interesting for them and that's it for middle school as a new business and your high school we had some field trip last weekend we have some upcoming March 10th Chad Kelly is going to get pinched if that Knott's Berry Farm coming up on March the if you're interested in going you can conduct this Riles pinata I get to the advanced and it's $85 but that's all also putting access to the park when is Christmas are followed by a smaller half day and then March 21st this is a complex event we are going to have our career day I was drinking a lot of work and we're really excited to bring coming up soon if next Friday March 8th we're going to have our second BBQ 24 High School offer students with perfect attendance for the month of January for the month of February we have the barbecue in March continue doing this as part of our initiative and then our agenda for today I would have just jump into some important dates and what's coming up around the corner we have her State Testing coming up in April and May the week of April 22nd high schools going to start with science than English than math SMS valeritas all of their grades and they'll start basics for science to make funniest for English and math you're entering testing season mr. Carlson mentioned elpac testing which is currently going on and shortly after that casting asked just talkin about we'll have our AP testing for those you need people ready and then finals and then summer break yes or no I just want to do a really quick with recap on how old are how we're like score to the school so students can get I said that standard exceeded to nearly that or not add William Albert all the students scores how far that averages from meeting the standard is our distance from standards for and that's how we supported the school for example 11th wait to meet that standard a score of 2583 is what's needed so if it scored 2683 there 100 points above the standard and just to share some of the data we are consistently outperforming the district and state and just reviewing what we look at it last time we are in the green and consistently outperforming lerc as well as the state of California average it was really important to mr. call Stonehaven myself is that what the canoeing growing I know I've been to that part a English about the theater to 24 - 87 + 70 followed out enjoying that we are on track I need School Gardena Bowl and I think this is what I really wanted to get some feedback from what is rotational Partners is we were trying to come up with incentives that are middle schoolers that are Juniors when their senior would be able to experience it through this year it's a tradition sewing Diego and Mercedes are Juniors still have this is part of their High School experience before I pass the meeting after Mr Carl Stone for students complete it just during the high school today for completing the we're going to have a field trip to Santa Barbara for our Junior and then for juniors will look at their end-of-year scores for the the cast and I ready and after I Hyderabad from eating the standard we're going to give lunch boxes Ivan Sanchez add bread as and if we hit that the school we were playing with the idea of having a barbecue or a food truck with an extended lunch if we meet the end of your goals for forecast in math and English and then I'm going to pass out for Mister cross, but we're going to talk about whether you have other ideas like these ideas or have a weenie and strengthen them alright y'all I'm going to go ahead and put this presentation up as well but basically the question for the students and the teachers and the parents is what questions or suggestions you have about the incentives so I'm going to put that slide up over here for you guys I have a question our students or will they know how close they are to reaching their goal and we talked about goals often but maybe they will give him an extra push knowing how close are far they are from the Guam I mentioned earlier that it's only seniors so it's so the students who are taking these tests the cast tests are our sixth seventh eighth and eleventh graders those the only one taking it but don't know their last year score when you see it talk about end of your i-Ready assessments every student in every grade takes the i-Ready assessments mr. I did mention when talking about GFS distance from standard that is only related to the state test and so the the juniors are the only once you take that test from the high school 11th grade the question thank you my second Dino what do you think Diego what do you think Mercedes how would you change these give me a solid Mercedes things are solid don't feel any pressure to agree with Diego is there a particular between like a barbecue or a food truck or is there like a specific place would like to see utilize for that variety like food so you like to see a food truck similar are there any particular food truck food trucks that you have in mind that you think would be really cool to see In-N-Out LifeWay Christian like a nursery okay cuz there's some food trucks that specialize in like different drinks and then there's different like types of cuisine yes I do anything that you are and then there's also like times when in and out will actually come out with the Habit Burger truck will come out put it up put it up for the students see what is a person with their baby kids which one the the survey and the kids all right so I'm over here so so I would say that like meeting the the end of your olds for for the cast would result in until the students are take the cast are the sixth seventh eighth and eleventh graders and it's up just the students that got certain scores or a ha impossible I think we would like you said. we would have to find a way to organize it such that it was possible yasso surveying the students find out what is the most attractive interesting other any other suggestions from staff for Miss Sanchez or any of the parents I agree with trucks and getting there sometimes there are local truck since nobody I think the book is it going to rain today incentivizing tutoring with snacks chips thank you in a little bit is like field trip I feel like it's like a I'll just testing in testing and then there's a reward is like to go to like a college field trip, baby. Could be something a little more casual baby fun as much as I can the same thing I mean I do Wonder Santa Barbara and it's text of the beach you know maybe there is a way to like ad the the beach to it keep in mind that wait anymore oh yeah yeah I just made a note about ways to make the field trip both you know both enriching because you're busy in the college and learning about the college but also fun I do want to point out that the that that's the incentive just for completing but it's not even about how you perform it just like it's just about completed it on time cuz sometimes those tests stupid pedal stuck on finishing all right well that is super duper helpful any other any other thoughts were they after that the senior lunch pass that's where they're allowed to actually go off campus but it is saying senior lunch passes so maybe he's only talkin about the seniors there yeah yeah because I talked about the Casper results so yeah maybe the Juniors all right that is it for us is there like a public what section that we should be should I be giving this should I should be passing this off to someone I think it's muted I can't hear anything what is the meaning it's me when it's 7 it's like it helps yeah we're definitely that's one of the reasons why we're looking at different vendors is because students have said we're not always happy with the quality of the food I do know that you know the food that they provide always includes fresh fruit and so there's they're healthy options for students if they're hungry no end is the heater is not that big everyone and everything is like yard sales that we've also we've also played with the idea I would love for us to have potentially a vending machine on campus but but only with healthy and approved items like water maybe Gatorade mints and maybe some not super tasty granola bars I want students to use are they also Squirtle more than the other ones but there are ones that do not have the are like water type bottles that we can look at getting that are not the The Squeeze ones I looks like the cops are the ones that kind of pinto is that for the sports team that she's talking about that will look into it even said it would be no on someone else when I go back to all right well then I'm going to see the floor to mister Maura if she can ask about the closing time thank you thank you meeting at during this time it is now the time is now 4:04 p.m. thank you me some more aggressive
